GIVE TO COLLEGE STUDENTS

Recognizing the unique pressures of post-secondary life, TCMA hosted a dedicated outreach for local college students. Beyond just providing essentials like groceries and tech supplies, the event focused on mental well-being and community belonging. By alleviating some of the financial burdens of tuition and housing costs, we aim to ensure that every student can focus on what matters most: their education and their future.

GIVE AT NEWMARKET COMMUNITY FRIDGE

The Newmarket Community Fridge (located at the Newmarket Public Library) is such a unique "mutual aid" model. Unlike a traditional food bank, it operates on the "Take what you need, leave what you can" principle, which aligns perfectly with TCMA’s mission of dignity and respect

GIVEAWAY FOR YORK REGION NEWMARKET SUBSIDIZED SENIOR HOUSING RESIDENT

TCMA recently visited subsidized senior housing residents in Newmarket to deliver more than just essentials—we delivered a message of belonging. Recognizing that many of our elders face challenges with mobility and rising costs, we brought our "Giveaway for Community Needs" directly to their doorstep.

GIVEAWAY GREENLANE SCHOOL EDUCATION CENTRE

Education is a journey, and at TCMA, we believe no one should have to walk that path on an empty tank. We recently brought our "Giveaway for Community Needs" to the Green Lane Education Centre to support local students in their academic and personal growth.

Whether it was school supplies, nutritious snacks, or daily essentials, our goal was simple: to take the "how will I manage?" stress off the table so our students can focus on the "what comes next." When a community shows up for its learners, the whole region thrives. We are proud to stand with the Green Lane community as they pursue their education and professional goals!

GIVE SOAP TO SENIOR AT UPPER CANADA MALL

Sometimes, the smallest gestures create the biggest impact. This week, the Toronto Cultural Mingle Association (TCMA) spent a wonderful afternoon at Upper Canada Mall, connecting with our local seniors.

As part of our ongoing commitment to community wellness, we distributed premium soaps to seniors visiting the mall. More than just a gift of hygiene, these bars were a "thank you" for the wisdom and history our elders bring to Newmarket. It was a joy to see faces light up and to hear stories from residents who have called York Region home for decades. At TCMA, we believe that staying connected is the best way to stay healthy!
