A New Summer Tradition for Newmarket & York Region.

The 2026 Newmarket Multicultural & Asian Harmony Festival was a vibrant two-day celebration of diversity, arts, culture, food, and community in Newmarket. The festival brought together 40+ vendors, exhibitors, and community organizations, alongside artists, performers, volunteers, and local businesses, featuring multicultural performances, international cuisine, cultural showcases, family activities, and a large Kids Zone for visitors of all ages.
With strong support from local government, community partners, schools, businesses, media, and residents, the festival created meaningful opportunities for local artists, performers, vendors, and event professionals while supporting small businesses, local employment, and tourism. Most importantly, it brought diverse communities together, strengthened cultural understanding and community belonging, and showcased Newmarket as an inclusive, welcoming, and vibrant multicultural community.

More than 40 food vendors, local businesses, artists, performers, exhibitors, and community groups transformed the festival grounds into a dynamic marketplace and entertainment destination. Visitors enjoyed a rich mix of international cuisine, live music, cultural performances, arts and entertainment, family activities, and interactive experiences, with something happening throughout the festival for every generation. With more than 10,000 residents and visitors from Newmarket, York Region, and across the GTA joining us, the festival created an energetic atmosphere where people could discover new cultures, enjoy great food and entertainment, support local businesses and artists, and share the experience with family and friends.
The 2026 Newmarket Multicultural & Asian Harmony Festival marked an important milestone in Newmarket’s growing cultural identity, establishing a new large-scale multicultural gathering with reach across York Region and the GTA. Beyond the festival itself, it contributed to local economic activity, cultural tourism, small business growth, community engagement, and quality of life, while creating new opportunities for artists, entrepreneurs, cultural organizations, and residents. The festival further strengthened Newmarket’s regional profile and contributed to building a more vibrant, connected, inclusive, and culturally dynamic community.
